CREDENTIALS
Melissa Fischbach proprietor of Springs Valley Stable and the U.S Friesian Referral Service is a Certified Riding Instructor and trainer. She has been a student of horses and all styles of horsemanship since 1974. Melissa has ridden to the Grand Prix Level in dressage and studied with Olympic and classical dressage teachers. Melissa uses an eclectic bag of mixed traditions to further perfect her own style of riding: light, precise and focused. Melissa teaches in a calm, clear manner. She teaches students to better their riding through very strong basics and a clear use of the aids. The end result is a rider confident in their ability to correctly ride a horse and a horse that is relaxed and clearly understands rider's aids. Melissa not only teaches/trains in dressage. She has also been a pupil of the following disciplines: western, jumping, in-hand driving, natural horsemanship and trick training. Melissa has developed her own 'horse response' training system, based on the perfection of ground manners and the development of the horse's mental ability and focus. When Melissa works with client's either in training or during riding lessons, she strives to have the client do as much of the actual training and horse development as they can. This enables the client to train or ride the horses themselves, without fear and in complete confidence. Melissa has been riding Friesian Horses since 1990 and specializes in training Friesians. However, Melissa has no discrimination against working with any breed and enjoys being able to help people. Since the 1990's Melissa has trained five horses to compete at upper levels of dressage. She accepts select horses in training and is willing to travel.

SPRINGS VALLEY STABLE Springs Valley Stable is located along the river in the heart of the quiet redwood forested mountains of Northern CA.
We are a short scenic hour from the famed historical town of Mendocino, and only miles away form the tallest tree in the world located at Montgomery Woods State Park.
For any of you coming to this area, I would like to extend an invitation to come and ride a Friesian horse. -Melissa
