This is a buyer/seller referral Service NOT a broker service. My name is Melissa Fischbach, I purchased my first Friesian in 1992. At that time no one knew what a Friesian horse was and I had great difficulty finding information on this wonderful breed. My aim is to provide people with as much help and information as I can regarding the Friesian horse. When several friends of mine asked me to sell their horses for them, I decided there was a need for a referral representative for this fine breed. The Friesians you see for sale on my page today are Friesians being sold by smaller breeders and single horse owners with no price mark up. Consequently you are seeing some of the best prices on the market. WHY use me? I am a FHANA member in good standing, I am a Triple Certified Riding Instructor, I have competed in dressage through 4th level, I am a certified Equine Appraiser, I have been the main organizer of the Northern CA Friesian Breed Inspection since 2002, and president of the Coastal California Friesian club. I am dedicated to the Friesian breed and train/own Friesians myself. I aim to share my knowledge, to help educate buyers as to what they are purchasing, in terms of training, quality and bloodlines. It greatly saddens me to hear the horrible stories of disappointment from by buyers who have been talked into, pressured into, or due from lack of knowledge purchased horses that are unsuitable, miss represented or have dangerous dispositions. The horses you see for sale on my website are Referral Sales, meaning I have fully reviewed all aspects of the animal, In turn I give potential buyers a screening and share with them my personal option on suitability etc. If a horse has a vices or problem you will be surprised to find that I will put that information right in the listing, I believe in keeping the potential buyer appraised of any and all problems with the horse(s). Once a buyer has reviewed a a potential equine partner they will be placed in contact with the owner, and the rest is between you. I will fall back to an advisory position. All vet exams, transport, and board is the responsibility of the potential owner, unless stated otherwise in the listing. If you would like me to help with contracts, or contact information for transport companies etc. I am happy to do so free of charge. Final Sale and arrangements are done by buyer and seller. Also please note the sellers retain the right to refuse a sale should they find the buyer in anyway unsuitable. I am also available to review horses for sale that are not on my website, if the horse is within driving distance I am happy to go and look at the horse for you, or I can review video footage, ( fees charged, please contact for quote) Happy hunting! HORSES IN HOLLAND IMPORT FEES ETC: Transport and quarantine are additional to listed sales price. Estimated Fees depend on gender, current shipping prices etc. current dollar exchange etc. Included in your initial transport/quarantine quote is airfare, pre-purchase, ground transport to airport in Holland, all paper and blood work. You are responsible for transport form the quarantine facility. Costs for geldings [all ages] , colts and filly's younger than 731 days approx..est. Quarantine 2-3 days. Mares 18 days in Quarantine CEM *** CEM quarantine is something else than USDA quarantine. For mares ***CEM is 15 days and costs an additional amount Stallions 33 days in Quarantine est.
